Welcome Back, Stew Pendous!
Fellow Pilots,
The "professors" at War Robots University thought it would be a fine time (having avoided April 1st for obvious reasons) to revisit our mission statement. The blog is four months old, with 65 posts and over 30,000 views! Several times each week, we provide free entertainment content masquerading as War Robots education for interested readers around the world. As long as you don't take it too seriously (we don't), you should be able to find some information and enjoyment related to your favorite mobile mech game here.
The U is also an iOS clan (if interested, no writing required 😉, send a request to clan #48669). In the game, we are but one chapter in the growing Aurora Nova family of clans. As the experimental section of Aurora Nova, the U tests items and strategy without worrying about ratings and scores. Aurora Nova welcomes new pilots, guests in its Discord server, and potentially, new clan affiliates (contact here).
We also found the guy who had some kind of insider trading knowledge and bought the last TEN Schutzes in the store:
On the test server, there's a new heavy robot that we previously reported as a Natasha redesign (wrong again!). Instead, it's "Bulwark," a heavy with physical and energy shields.
Also on the test server, there's a reload button for weapons that don't continuously stock ammunition (think Punishers and Molots). Also, Pixonic seems to be testing at least two new Trident iterations, one with 500m range and 20% increased damage, and one with 600m range and a smaller damage increase. Both new Tridents are continuous reloaders, and the U welcomes the buff. We've been getting a LOT of mileage out of this big hit weapon in a world of Shocktrain Spectres and Bulgasaris hiding behind cover.
This week, we've got articles in the hopper about Springfield strategy and improving your Dash robots. Happy Monday and have a great week,
Dr. Yat

New Feature: Anomalous Battle Reports
In War Robots, things sometimes happen that don't warrant detailed analysis, but still deserve mention. Like the sighting of an allied Zenit Inquisitor, just about to take flight:We also found the guy who had some kind of insider trading knowledge and bought the last TEN Schutzes in the store:

Stew Pendous is one of the U's favorite YouTubers, and he's BACK! He was away due to some health and technical issues, but he's feeling better and sorted out the machine stuff. In his first video back, he perfectly illustrated a point we made here about Dreadnought - hold down the sides and kill the enemies at their home and center! On the test server, there's a new heavy robot that we previously reported as a Natasha redesign (wrong again!). The U is not just a blog ... we are also iOS clans #48669, #141459, and #139479. We are always looking for champion-league pilots, and welcome skilled communicators from around the world.

Out of curiosity, do you think that Bulwark is Over Powered?
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you! Do commenters get a notification by email when another person (usually me) replies to their comment?
DeleteYes, but only if they check the box that says "Notify me". As you might have guessed I check the box.
DeleteNot yet. If it is released with more shield power, it may well be. While Ancilots were a problem, especially in herds, they pale in comparison (in my opinion) to the Dash robots and Spectres now. A major strategic component of the game has been lost with these "one touch" kill systems - especially the four medium slot Spectre when equipped with MK2 Orkans. That said, for me it's the MK2 system that really separates the whales from the rest of us. If we were all playing 10-30% apart in weapon strength/robot durability, it wouldn't be as bad as it is to face players who could always buy the best gear right when it came out. Bulwark will only ruin your day if you ask for it!
ReplyDeleteBulwark probably was a natasha replacement, notice the hard points on the side? So when am I gonna get my descending natasha? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have to imagine it's in the pipeline, right? The Mercury is pretty darn close, but a flying double heavy ... god help us!
DeleteJust imagine something like Butch with the Descend ability. That would be a nightmare. Especially if equipped with the new heavy Orkan.
DeletePix has occasionally made noise about abilities being added to robots that don't normally have them - a new kind of customization slot. It seems for the time being that other directions are being pursued, but undoubtedly people would like to add an ancile to their Griffs and Galahads, and descend to, well, anything!
DeleteThis is a nice explaination of the topic Please share more about it. retired best storm bowling ball
