Rule Number One

Fellow Pilots Commanders,
It's time for a big, nay, HUGE announcement.

Are ya ready?  Here goes: you can now PAY for what you have always received for free.  Yay!  In seriousness, as the world's most famous English language semi-professional mobile mech game blogger, I've decided that you can now support my lavish, jet-setting lifestyle.  Wait, that's not serious either.

SERIOUSLY, I'd love your support for this educational/entertainment endeavo(u)r.  I'll create content here and on YouTube, you throw a tip in the jar from time to time.  Patreon makes it possible, and the U's backers will gain exclusive access to the super sexy behind-the-scenes studio.  Your screenies and video of in-game heroics will be immortalized; your in-game name shall strike fear in your enemies!

THE FIRST TWENTY folks who decide to join will automatically become members of the U's "Tenure Track" Discord as a "Founder." As a bonus, I'll shortly ditch the Google ads, which have earned about 75 cents a month 😂.  Perhaps when I'm a million years old, I shall retire.

On to business!  In all our lab experiments, lectures, seminars, correspondence courses, etc etc, we teach the following rules:

1 - DON'T MECH OUT.
2 - see rule #1

In order to demonstrate the principle, I took Falcon, Bulwark, and both of my Last Stand modules out of the hangar.  Using less hardy models like Fury and Spectre, the goal is to play patiently enough to remain in the game for its full duration AND get the win.

Via feedback from the YouTube comments (well, comment), I heard you loud and clear when you said "BEACONS SHOULD BE RULE #1!"  We agree on the critical importance of controlling territory - even in modes like FFA and TDM - but you can't do that if you've been eliminated.  Hence, rule #1 remains number one!  Here's the video:

In other news, the computer nerds that make War Robots are decidely NOT all computer nerds.  Unless they've hired models and actors to portray the computer nerds in this promotional? video.  If you believe the game has gone a little too far toward "pay to win," the video makes it look like Pixonic employees are enjoying a bender in the French Riviera.  If you take a more balanced approach, it just looks like a commercial for young people splashing each other in the pool.

Happy Tuesday, and DON'T MECH OUT!

Until the introduction of the Greek bots, Pixonic provided component items to War Robots University's professors/pilots for review.  The content of War Robots U is created and edited by its author exclusively.  For an explanation of the relationship between Pixonic and the U, read this post!

The U is not just a blog ... we are also iOS clans #48669 and #139479.  We are always looking for commanders, and welcome skilled communicators from around the world.
