Mondays are for Last Minute Contest Entries!

Fellow pilots,
The Art of the Assist closes at midnight GMT tonight (26th of February, 2018).  Make sure you get your posts on the forum by that time!

Here's where you can find the directions for each week in case you are playing catch-up:

Weapon mixers, here's something new for you (everybody else, you might want to avert your eyes). Behold the "Bride of Frankenstein."

I love Natasha for a couple reasons.  She costs almost nothing.  She's by far the fastest heavy robot to upgrade; you can bring her to Mark 2/level 12 in under two weeks.   She's got heavy and light weapon slots, which allows tremendous variety.  The paint job doesn't hurt either.  Anyway, most pilots hate on weapon mixing more than Kanya hates on Taylor Swift, but hear me out.  All of the above weapons are automatic reloaders.  So if you blast someone from 1000m with the Arbalests (Gekkos would be fine too), your Dragoon and Thunder fire and reload well before anyone is close to you.  The Dragoon is my new heavy weapon favorite, making Tridents and Zeus almost obsolete.  The Thunder, of course, is in case you find yourself in position to take an Ancile down for a teammate.  This build may not be beautiful, but it can hurt you from a long way off.

Battle notes from last week are below.

I was part of a great win against Papa and clan NEO thanks to a whale (pun intended) of a game from Lordex.  Don't say the whales never help you out!

Here's why you get your health maxed.  I lost this one, but the Lance was a VERY difficult "out" for the enemy side.

An oddity, the 31 win game in TDM.  The U's hypothesis is that this occurs when someone dips out of the match very early and a replacement is placed into the battle.  I've heard this mode called a lot of things, but I like "TeDiuM" the best.  War Robots without beacons is, for me, unbearably boring.

The tedium comes from teams just sitting there.  It's a waiting game, and though I do appreciate patient play, this is just uninteresting.

Finally, Ember is the king of the corner shooters.  Try it - you will like it!  If you've never managed to control the corner to the right of enemy spawn on the moon, it is the BEST.  Take a look at the death march of reds coming my way ...

Have a great week!
