My videos don't work out like Adriannnnn's ...

Fellow Pilots,
Don't forget to subscribe (top right).  You get an email when the pasta boils.  Ok, maybe just when there's a new post.

Today's TANKER ALERT is to watch out for "ƒROM THE HELL," who ejected four robots, made one hit with a death button griffin, and left the game.  Maybe I could have propped us up if I had five, but then Dimich bolted as well.  Who's up for a little four vs. six on Yamantau?

Your name is stupid, FROM THE HELL, and go back from whence you came.  You suck.

Further to yesterday's masterpiece about flanking maneuvers, I made an attempt (or three) at a narrated beacon running/flanking video.  It's a fine video, but more a demonstration of how overpowered HeyCheese are than a track meet to the beacons.

War Robots University research has concluded that you can win on most maps without the center beacon.  Here, I go left for the enemy's flank, capture the beacon, then hide in center for a while before returning to capture the left and then home beacons on the enemy side.  This match was 3-2 in the beacons most of the time.  As you will remember from "How long is a battle?" that means it (thankfully) lasts only seven minutes.

This battle was on the Moon Map, which I love.  Pixonic's community manager told the writer's Discord server that the new map designer's work is some of his favorite creative stuff, and I totally agree.  Whether Moon belongs to the "new guy," I don't know, but I certainly think it is great.

Also featured in this video: know thy enemy, and make sure he doesn't get real close in a Thunder Carnage.

You're welcome.

In the "hanging defeated champions on the wall" file, let's add Mr. Machu Pichu and Mr. Blitz.  They ran up against some Turks and myself on Dead City, and lost in about four minutes.  I only know a few Turks, and it is 100% safe to generalize that you don't want to play War Robots against them.  My clan mate, KHAN, is a perfect example.  Anyway, champs or not, I usually flank to my left on Dead City, as you can see below.  This puts pressure on the enemy to cover center, home, and two sides.

If you can't kill my HeyChee in the first minute, the battle is not going to go well for you ...

I'm sure Machu Pichu has some more maxed out stuff in hangar two, but I got pretty bored looking at hangar one.  We have a six-year old kid in my clan, and he managed a 1.3 million damage game in a hangar full of Dash bots - story to follow - so this overpowered group is both silly and scary.  I'm devoting a lot of energy to learning to beat them on the regular, and will post more about it in the very near future.  For now, flank them, and don't give up any robots of yours without a fight!

Happy Thursday,
Yat
